Midsummer event
Do you know how to dance "the little frogs dance”? Have you ever made a Midsummer wreath or decorated a maypole? Apart from Christmas, Midsummer is probably the most important holiday celebrated in Sweden. Swedes gather to celebrate summer and the soon to come vacation period. Before we close for summer vacation we would like you to come and celebrate with us at International House Gothenburg.
During a Midsummer inspired fika we invite you to learn more about:
- How to celebrate and dance around the famous maypole
- Traditional foods
- What to see and do around the city
Our speakers Peter Winroth, a licensed Gothenburg guide and Fredrik Schenholm, from ’Det Vilda Göteborg’ will also share some advice on how to explore the city and its surroundings during the rest of the summer. This event is family-friendly so both children and adults are welcome to join.
RSVP: To ensure your participation, please register by 13 June.
A warm welcome!
