Your Career in the Gothenburg region
This autumn we have also concluded the 11th session of the Move to Gothenburg Career Programme. This year more than 50 energetic international talents, with great attitude towards approaching the Swedish job market, were trained during the programme.
Some of them have already found a job, some are still in recruitment processes or re-evaluating the professional opportunities available. What we know is that all have grown their network, created a plan and learned how to make first impressions count, online and in face to face interactions. We wish them all good luck!
This competence development programme has been initiated by Move to Gothenburg in 2016 and, since then, it has been run twice a year, by Pernilla Johansson, our Talent Development Manager. The programme was initially designed for highly skilled international accompanying partners residing in West Sweden. This year we have expanded and redesigned it also for international masters’ students registered at a university from West Sweden, in the 2nd year of their studies.
What we understood is that we inspired, guided and equipped the participants to further self-develop their own capacity to best tackle the Swedish job market. During the programme, they have developed their personal strengths, learned how to build their local network and to reshape their digital personal brand.
The trainers gave the participants the right tips and knowledge for a better understanding of the Swedish job market and the business and recruiting culture. Many thanks to the trainers and inspirational speakers during these years: Christina Rundcrantz, Megan Reif Dyfvermark, Leena Dhankher Joshi, Filipa Rodrigues Simões, Olof Person, Charlotta Brynger, Nicola Stockmann, Liz Rider, Anna Petersson, Peter Karancsi, Pernilla Johansson, Madalina Magnusson, Vi Nguyen, Anna Shontova
